Kowloon in the Colony of Hongkong

Respectfully Sheweth,

1. That Your Petitioners on the 17th day of October One thousand nine hundred and five made Petition to His Excellency Sir Matthew Nathan K.C.M.G. Governor of Hongkong in the terms set out in the exhibit hereto annexed and marked "A".

2. That the said Petition was refused as is shown by the Colonial Secretary's letter hereto annexed and marked "B".

3. Your Petitioners respectfully beg to point out that by a Notification issued by the Hongkong Government dated the 12th day of July 1899 a Schedule of Crown rents on land situated in New Kowloon in the Colony of Hongkong was laid down as follows:-

(a) 1st class agricultural land per Acre $3.20 2nd class agricultural land per Acre $2.64 3rd class agricultural land per Acre $1.52 (b) 1st class agricultural land per Acre $5.00 2nd class agricultural land per Acre $3.00 3rd class agricultural land per Acre $1.50 (c) 1st class Building site per Acre $250.00 2nd class Building site per Acre $150.00 3rd class Building site per Acre $100.00
